2000 - Inquiry from company looking for site for coal fired power
plant. The lead is
presented to the economic development council in place at that time
and recommendation is made to respond.

2000 - First contact with company is made.
Site research begins and research into water resources.

2001 - County Commission holds press conference confirming that a
company interested in constructing a power plant in Sevier
County.

June
2001 - Planning commission grants permit to construct an air
monitoring tower to collect meteorological data. Utah Department of Environmental Quality assists with
locating tower.

January
2003 - Nevco submits Preliminary data to the Department of
Environmental Quality.

April
2003 - Nevco files a formal Notice of Intent with Utah Division of
Air Quality, the state agency responsible for permitting the facility.

Sept
2003 - Nevco resubmits their intent filing after additional
modeling is completed.
